EMPOWERING YOUNG MOTHERS THROUGH VOCATIONAL SKILLS TRAINING IN FOOD PROCESSING AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The Vocational Skills Technical Training Program for young mothers, which officially started on 21st May 2026, is progressing successfully at Mkuza Ward in Kibaha. The initiative has brought together 48 young mothers from Kibaha Municipal Council and Kibaha District Council to gain practical and income-generating skills in food processing and preservation.

Participants are being trained in the production of green paste, Chachandu, nutritious flour, food spices, and therapeutic foods aimed at improving nutrition, household income, and self-reliance within the community.

The training sessions are conducted by experienced business professionals and entrepreneurs from the food processing industry, providing participants with both technical knowledge and entrepreneurial experience to help them establish sustainable businesses and improve their livelihoods.

This initiative continues to create opportunities for economic empowerment, entrepreneurship development, and community transformation among young mothers in Kibaha.

The program is being implemented in partnership with Swisscontact, Anjita Foundation & ofisi ya Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Pwani
