Mafunzo kwa Wote Project

Community Resource Mobilization Approach

Anjita Foundation is implementing the Mafunzo kwa Wote Project through a Community Fundraising Approach

Mafunzo kwa Wote is a five-year project implemented from 2022 to 2026 in Pwani, Mtwara, and Ruvuma Regions, focusing on strengthening Early Childhood Development (ECD) through capacity building, community engagement, and improved childcare services. The project uses a Community Resource Mobilization approach to engage childcare providers and other community stakeholders in creating supportive environments where young children can grow, learn, and thrive.

Key Contributions of the Project

The project contributes to strengthening the capacity of childcare providers and improving the quality of childcare services through the following key activities:

1. Capacity Building for Childcare Providers on the Importance of Early Childhood Development

The project equips childcare providers with knowledge and practical skills on the importance of ECD, enabling them to better understand and respond to the developmental, learning, protection, health, and care needs of young children.

2. Strengthening Childcare Providers on National ECD Plans and Guidelines

The project strengthens the capacity of childcare providers to understand, apply, and effectively use national ECD plans, policies, and guidelines in their daily work, contributing to more consistent and quality childcare practices.

3. Improving Childcare Center Infrastructure

The project supports improvements in childcare centre infrastructure to create safer, more supportive, inclusive, and child-friendly learning and care environments that promote children’s well-being and development.
